I have always admired Bathsheba's writing, she is one of those people that writes strictly from her soul. Some poets write bs about the wind and crap that you have to figure out what in the world they are talking about, but not with her. I love reading real poetry that comes from someones heart. You won't go wrong buying this book, it is full of some spectacular writing from Ms. Dailey.
I haven't read the 4th book yet, but this right now is my favorite book. Its a smooth read and I loved it!
Bathsheba's eloquence is remarkable; if only my own words flowed so freely.
Last night, I was determined to let this book sit at least for one more day, I was so tired but after picking it up I found I couldn't put it down. East phrase took me farther and farther down a wonderful road of romance, betrayal and into the heart and soul of this woman. Her poetry of Mists took me inside Avalon, a place we all long for while her reflections of Romeo and Juliet replayed the dance of joy and sorrow. If you love poetry, you'll love this one!
I have read all four of Bathsheba Dailey's books of poetry, and find her to be a poet whose work gets stronger with every outing. It is fascinating to watch her growth through each volume. Her verses reflect the real-life struggles of a single mother who is doing her best just to get by, and to do the right thing b her family. It's all here the daily struggle, the pain and heartbreak, and the occasional joy. Reading her work gives the reader the sense that here is an everyday heroine who has to cope with getting the bills paid, getting the kids to school, while at the same time trying to carve out a life of her own. Sometimes moody, other times hopefully optimistic, Bathsheba Dailey is a joy to read.
